Two Seaside Babes participated in this years CarmelFest. We were super excited about vending at this festival again, as last year's show was our very first ever. We were eager to find out if our hard work over the past year had paid off. We concentrated our efforts on more summer and warm-weather items such as our hair clips, headbands, and American Girl doll hats. We were pleased that all of our efforts definitely paid off.
We could have done without the horrendous heat though. It is more than difficult to try and sell wool hats in almost 100 degree temperatures. But our customers were great (and quite brave) trying on our hats.
Overall, we're exceptionally pleased with how we did. While we didn't reach the goal we were hoping for (we blame it solely on the heat), we still did better than last year. I supposed that is the true goal of any vendor...to outdo the previous show in sales.
Now, we're preparing for the Brownsburg Festival of the Arts on 17 July. Come on out and see us...we'd especially love it if you didn't bring the heat with you ;-)
